Training professionals

For livestock professionals, the Bankiva office offers training courses such as :

  • ethology for herd management.

The aim is to understand the animal in order to better anticipate its reactions, thus saving time and improving safety. Take, for example, the case of a bovine refusing to get into a vehicle. As its pupils retract 5 times more slowly than those of a human, we understand that the animal is blinded when moving from a lighted environment (the boarding platform) to a dark one (the truck). Darkening the dock with a tarpaulin, or illuminating the bed of the truck, can greatly facilitate the animals' ascent.

These training courses can receive financial support from various organizations, such as Vivéa, one of whose priorities is "Approaches to livestock management that take animal health and well-being into account (including ethology [...])".

breedersTailor-made training courses can cover various modules, such as :

As a trainer for an organization approved by the French Ministry of Agriculture, I can train slaughterhouse operators in minimum protection during the killing of farm animals. The examination to obtain the certificate of competence is included in each training course.

We offer a variety of ways to meet: on your premises, at a partner farm or slaughterhouse, or by video-conference.

For livestock advisors and technicians, I propose to organize :

  • an information meeting on animal welfare.

Through open discussion and the sharing of experience, technicians and advisors will learn how to better grasp this notion, so as to better respond to requests on the subject (whether from farmers and future farmers, citizens, economic players or the media).
