The evolution of knowledge

In many emerging fields, such as animal welfare, information can come from research on pilot farms or simply from the field.

Innovative practices need to be tracked down, researched, analyzed and tested to measure their transferability and disseminate them as widely as possible.

As part of its drive for innovation, Bureau Bankiva carried out a study for Criel Centre on innovative practices for improving the well-being of dairy goats.

This work was carried out in several stages:

  • Technical meetings with a steering committee
  • Drawing up questionnaires for breeders
  • Farm surveys
  • Characterization of practices and consideration of dissemination to other farms
  • Feedback to the industry committee
