Exchanging ideas, understanding each other and identifying consensus between two stakeholders requires the presence of a third-party facilitator.
Consultation
Concertation is a method that enables two stakeholders with a priori divergent points of view to exchange views. It follows a very precise method: beyond consultation (which is limited to gathering the opinions of stakeholders) and without being a negotiation (which makes compromise decisions compulsory), it seeks to reinject complexity into a debate too often reduced to Manichean positions. The aim is to reach consensual decisions, without predefined obligations on either side.
It must be led by a trusted third party, who guarantees the balance and transparency of exchanges and helps the group to formalize consensus, dissensus and levers for action.
Since 2017, the Bankiva office has led and led several consultations with the livestock sectors:
- with beef professionals (Interbev)
- with dairy goat industry professionals (ANICAP)
- with cow's milk industry professionals (CNIEL)
- with pork industry professionals (INAPORC)
These consultations are taking place with several of France's leading animal protection NGOs: CIWF France, LFDA, OABA and WELFARM.
The Bankiva office supports you in the reflections preceding the implementation of concerted exchanges (through monitoring committees, fed by knowledge of ethology and of the issues identified in each sector) and in the facilitation of multi-stakeholder exchanges; by identifying the expectations and needs specific to each sector and each theme. If required, the office can carry out consultations, literature reviews, mapping of key players, etc.
